Hindu civil servants to get extra day off for Deepavali

The government has agreed that the one-day unrecorded Deepavali leave for Hindu civil servants can be taken a day earlier (Deepavali eve) or the second day of Deepavali, starting this year.

In a statement, the Public Service Department (PSD) said a circular on the matter has been sent to all state public servants, statutory authorities, and local authorities.
