Govt mulling halt to egg subsidies once supply stabilises - Mat Sabu

The government is reviewing the subsidy for chicken eggs grades A, B and C, and considering halting it if eggs supply becomes stable.

Agriculture and Food Security Minister Mohamad Sabu announced this during a speech at his ministry’s monthly assembly, saying that it would save RM100 million a month which could be redirected to develop other critical aspects in agro-food sectors.
