Sirajuddin is new Jakim DG

Chief Secretary to the Government Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar has announced that Sirajuddin Suhaimee, deputy director-general (Policy) of the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (Jakim), is the department’s new head, effective immediately.

Sirajuddin, 57, succeeds Hakimah Mohd Yusoff, who has held the position since March 21, 2022.
