Cops probing Teresa over 3R, religious offence, public mischief

Police have opened investigation papers against Seputeh MP Teresa Kok over her remarks that making halal certification mandatory for restaurants could become a burden to businesses and lead Malaysia to global ridicule.
Inspector-General of Police Razarudin Husain said the 3R (race, religion, royalty) probe is under Sections 298 and 505(b) of the Penal Code, which covers causing religious offence and statements conducive to public mischief.
