MPs propose referring drugs amendment bill to select committee

Several Pakatan Harapan MPs have proposed that the Drug Dependants (Treatment and Rehabilitation) (Amendment) Bill 2024 be referred to a Parliamentary Select Committee (PSC).

Teresa Kok Suh Sim (Harapan-Seputeh) said referring the bill to the PSC would enable more engagement sessions with stakeholders, including private treatment centres, to identify the best treatments for drug addicts.
