Anwar embracing Hamas leader just 'for show' - activist
A political activist has accused Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim of putting up a front in meeting a Hamas delegation to drive the attention away from the planned acquisition of Malaysia Airports Berhad (MAHB) by a consortium with purported Zionist links.
Hishamuddin Rais, a former close ally of Anwar, claimed that the act of “greeting and embracing” Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh was just “a show” to cover up the issue concerning the deal made with Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP), which pro-Israel company Blackrock wholly owns.
