Jakim implements 30pct use of Jawi in promo materials, publications
PARLIAMENT | The Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (Jakim) has implemented a policy for 30 percent of its promotional materials and publications to use Jawi writing, as a step to re-dignify the script.
Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs) Mohd Nai'im Mokhtar said the department also has officers appointed as “Munsyi Jawi” by Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka (DBP) to assist in the correct use of Jawi writing for the department's official affairs.
