Covid-19 (Jan 29): 269 new cases, no deaths

COVID-19 | The Health Ministry said 269 new daily Covid-19 cases were reported yesterday, bringing the total cumulative cases to 5,036,140.
Active cases currently stood at 9,480, down 8.2 percent compared to 14 days ago.
New cases according to states are as follows:
Selangor (110)
Kuala Lumpur (50)
Malacca (16)
Sarawak (14)
Putrajaya (14)
Kedah (13)
Johor (11)
Negeri Sembilan (9)
Penang (9)
Perak (8)
Pahang (7)
Terengganu (4)
Sabah (3)
Kelantan (1)
Perlis (0)
Labuan (0)
There were no deaths attributed to Covid-19 that was reported yesterday.
There have been 87 deaths reported this month. For comparison, there were 169 deaths last month and 209 deaths in November.
There are 371 Covid-19 patients who are hospitalised of which 21 are in intensive care.
The highest number of admissions yesterday was recorded in Sabah (45) followed by Selangor (39) and Kuala Lumpur (12).
