Police inspector charged with raping, sexually assaulting teenager

A police inspector claimed trial at the Sungai Petani Sessions Court today for a count of rape and three counts of sexual assault involving a 16-year-old girl last Wednesday.

Mohd Maliki Azmi, 35, who was attached to the Yan district police headquarters in Kedah, appeared calm when the charges were read to him before Judge Roslan Hamid, reported New Straits Times.
