Covid-19 (Nov 16): 3,304 new cases, 8 deaths
COVID-19 | The Health Ministry reported 3,304 new daily Covid-19 cases yesterday.
Active cases currently stood at 28,165, down 18.6 percent compared to 14 days ago.
New cases according to states are as follows:

Penang (173)
Malacca (163)
Putrajaya (147)

Another eight deaths attributed to Covid-19 were reported yesterday, of which three were declared as "brought in dead".
Over the past week, an average of 7.0 people were reported to have died of Covid-19, while the average for the past 30 days was 5.0, indicating that Covid-19 deaths are on the uptrend.
Since the start of the pandemic in March 2020, a total of 36,574 deaths have been attributed to Covid-19.
There have been 99 reported Covid-19 deaths this month. For comparison, there were 101 deaths last month and 158 deaths in September.
There are 1,945 Covid-19 patients who are hospitalised of which 90 are in intensive care.
The highest number of admissions yesterday was recorded in Selangor (155) followed by Sabah (123) and Johor (81).
