Ringgit appreciates 6.19pct against US dollar, analyst says worst likely over

The ringgit gained 6.19 percent against the US dollar today on expectations of the dollar liquidation and that the US dollar index has topped for the year, a dealer said.

At 6pm, the local note rose to 4.6885/6950 against the greenback from Tuesday’s close of 4.7340/7385.
