DOE denies claim of PSR project's difficulty in getting EIA approval

The Department of Environment (DOE) today denied the claim that the Penang South Reclamation (PSR) project faced difficulty in getting its Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) report approved.

Its director-general, Wan Abdul Latiff Wan Jaffar, said the recent allegation titled, “Penang South Islands Being Cursed?”, made by an individual via a video on TikTok, was inaccurate and confusing the public.
