Covid-19 (Sept 27): 1,552 new cases, 6 deaths
COVID-19 | The Health Ministry reported 1,552 new daily Covid-19 cases yesterday.
Active cases currently stood at 23,883, down 9.2 percent compared to 14 days ago.
New cases according to states are as follows:

Sabah (164)
Perak (119)
Sarawak (94)
Penang (76)
Negeri Sembilan (68)
Kelantan (65)
Kedah (64)
Johor (55)
Malacca (54)
Pahang (34)
Terengganu (22)

Perlis (3)
Another six deaths attributed to Covid-19 were reported yesterday, of which one was declared as "brought in dead".
These deaths were reported in Johor (1), Kedah (1), Perak (1), Sarawak (1), Selangor (1) and Terengganu (1).
Since the start of the pandemic in March 2020, a total of 36,363 deaths have been attributed to Covid-19.
There have been 147 reported Covid-19 deaths this month. For comparison, there were 247 deaths last month and 204 deaths in July.
There are 1,096 Covid-19 patients who are hospitalised, of which 46 are in intensive care.
The highest number of admissions yesterday was recorded in Sabah (101), followed by Selangor (84) and Johor (41).
