Covid-19 (Aug 13): 4,334 new cases, 10 deaths
COVID-19 | The Health Ministry reported 4,334 new daily Covid-19 cases yesterday.
Active cases currently stood at 44,617, down 1.5 percent compared to 14 days ago.
New cases according to states are as follows:

Sarawak (152)
Penang (134)
Negeri Sembilan (119)
Putrajaya (104)

Johor (82)
Pahang (74)

Another 10 deaths attributed to Covid-19 were reported yesterday, of which one was declared as "brought in dead".
The deaths were reported in Johor (5), Perak (2), Penang (1), Sarawak (1) and Selangor (1).
Over the past week, an average of 8.6 people were reported to have died of Covid-19, while the average for the past 30 days was 8.1, indicating that Covid-19 deaths are on the uptrend.
Since the start of the pandemic in March 2020, a total of 36,080 deaths have been attributed to Covid-19.
There have been 111 reported Covid-19 deaths this month so far. For comparison, there were 204 deaths last month and 89 deaths in June.
There are 1,595 Covid-19 patients who are hospitalised, of which 68 are in intensive care.
The highest number of admissions yesterday was recorded in Selangor (124), followed by Johor (73) and Sabah (70).
