Covid-19 (July 18): 3,080 new cases, 7 deaths
COVID-19 | The Health Ministry reported 3,080 new Covid-19 cases yesterday.
Active infections stood at 42,185, up 40.6 percent compared to 14 days ago.
New cases according to states are as follows:

Seven deaths attributed to Covid-19 were reported yesterday, of which three were declared as "brought in dead".
These deaths were reported in Selangor (3), Malacca (2) and Negeri Sembilan (2).
Over the past week, an average of 6.6 people were reported to have died of Covid-19, while the average for the past 30 days was 4.3, indicating that Covid-19 deaths are on the uptrend.
Since the start of the pandemic in March 2020, a total of 35,862 deaths have been attributed to the disease.
There have been 97 reported Covid-19 deaths this month, more than the 89 deaths last month and on track to exceed 129 deaths in May.
There are 1,472 Covid-19 patients who are hospitalised of which 57 are in intensive care.
The highest number of admissions yesterday was recorded in Selangor (141) followed by Johor (91) and Sabah (69).
