Covid-19 (July 13): 3,934 new cases, 9 deaths
COVID-19 | The Health Ministry reported 3,934 new daily Covid-19 cases yesterday.
Also reported was the highest number of reported Covid-19 deaths in over a month.
Active cases currently stood at 36,894, up 25.4 percent compared to 14 days ago.
New cases according to states are as follows:

Another nine deaths attributed to Covid-19 were reported yesterday, of which two were declared as "brought in dead".
These deaths were reported in Malacca (2), Perak (2), Selangor (2), Johor (1), Pahang (1) and Penang (1).
Over the past week, an average of 5.1 people were reported to have died of Covid-19, while the average for the past 30 days was 3.7, indicating that Covid-19 deaths are on the uptrend.
Since the start of the pandemic in March 2020, a total of 35,828 deaths have been attributed to Covid-19.
There have been 63 reported Covid-19 deaths this month, which is on track to exceed the 89 deaths reported last month.
There are 1,268 Covid-19 patients who are hospitalised of which 53 are in intensive care.
The highest number of admissions yesterday was recorded in Johor (118) followed by Selangor (118) and Sabah (70).
