Covid-19 (June 24): 2,512 new cases, three deaths
COVID-19 | The Health Ministry yesterday reported 2,512 new Covid-19 cases, bringing the cumulative infections to 4,552,359.
Health authorities also recorded three new fatalities yesterday, putting the total death toll at 35,745.
New cases according to states are as follows:
Kuala Lumpur (796)
Selangor (732)
Penang (176)
Sabah (170)
Negeri Sembilan (149)
Perak (135)
Johor (69)
Sarawak (55)
Malacca (54)
Putrajaya (51)
Pahang (38)
Kedah (37)
Terengganu (20)
Kelantan (19)
Perlis (7)
Labuan (4)
Active cases stood at 28,247, up 24.4 percent compared to 14 days ago.
The three new deaths were recorded in Malacca (2) and Kuala Lumpur (1). Two of them were brought in dead.
There were 69 reported Covid-19 deaths this month. For comparison, there were 129 deaths last month and 564 deaths in April.
There are 1,026 Covid-19 patients who are currently hospitalised, 34 of which are in intensive care.
The highest number of admissions yesterday was recorded in Selangor (181) followed by Johor (79) and Sabah (70).
