Covid-19 (May 26): 1,845 new cases, 27 in ICU
COVID-19 | The Health Ministry reported 1,845 new daily Covid-19 cases yesterday as the number of patients requiring intensive care continue to taper off.
Active cases currently stood at 25,189, down 12.3 percent compared to 14 days ago.
New cases according to states are as follows:

Malacca (49)

Another three deaths attributed to Covid-19 were reported yesterday. The Health Ministry has not reported any "brought in dead" cases in four days.
Over the past week, an average of 3.3 people were reported to have died of Covid-19, while the average for the past 30 days was 4.5, indicating that Covid-19 deaths are on the downtrend.
Since the start of the pandemic in March 2020, a total of 35,656 deaths have been attributed to Covid-19.
There have been 109 reported Covid-19 deaths this month. For comparison, there were 564 deaths last month and 2,235 deaths in March.
There are 1,056 Covid-19 patients who are hospitalised of which 27 are in intensive care.
The highest number of admissions yesterday was recorded in Selangor (140) followed by Johor (125) and Sabah (67).
While the number of patients in intensive care is continuing on a downward trajectory, the number of daily admissions was around the 450 to 480 range over the past week.
