Apex court dismisses Zakir's leave to appeal, suit to proceed in Penang
The hearing of a lawsuit by independent speaker Dr Zakir Naik against former Batu Uban assemblyperson S Raveentharan will be heard in the Penang High Court.
This followed a decision by the Federal Court today in dismissing Zakir's (above) application for leave to appeal after allowing a preliminary objection by Raveentharan's lawyers, T Tharumarajah, Kernail Singh, and Asmeeta Rajendran.
