Covid-19 (Nov 28): 4,239 cases, lowest since May 16
COVID-19 | The Health Ministry today reported 4,239 new Covid-19 cases, bringing the cumulative infections to 2,623,816.
The fresh infections are the lowest in 196 days, since May 16.
They comprised 4,072 Malaysians (96.1 percent) and 167 non-citizens (3.9 percent).
The fresh infections were surpassed by a total of 5,007 Covid-19 patients who recovered today. This is expected to help reduce the number of active cases.
Patients in ICU: 511
Intubated: 261
As of today, the number of patients (including suspected ones) in the intensive care unit (ICU) is 5.5 percent lower compared to a week ago.
Those who require intubation have also declined by 2.2 percent from a week ago.
Nationally, the number of hospital admissions in the last seven days have declined by 4.6 percent compared to the preceding week.
Health Ministry will only publish today’s breakdown of new cases by states after midnight on its CovidNow portal.

To date, 228 Covid-19 clusters are still active, including three new clusters reported today.
The ongoing clusters have fallen by three percent from the 235 active clusters a week ago.
