DOE seeks public feedback on Lynas disposal site plan in Gebeng, due Nov 25
The Department of Environment (DOE) is seeking public feedback on Lynas’ plan to construct a permanent disposal facility (PDF) in the Gebeng Industrial Estate in Kuantan, Pahang.
An environmental impact assessment (EIA) report of the proposed project has also been uploaded onto DOE's website for public perusal.
The department, on its Facebook page, announced this and invited the public to give their feedback on the project which would see the disposal of radioactive water leach purification (WLP) residue from the Lynas rare earth plant.
