Covid-19 (Oct 11): 6,709 new cases
The Health Ministry has reported 6,709 new Covid-19 cases today, bringing the total case count in the country to 2,346,303.
The distribution of new cases according to states will be reported on the Health Ministry's CovidNow website after midnight.
The fresh infections today comprised 6,459 Malaysians (96.3 percent) and 250 non-citizens (3.7 percent).
They were surpassed by a total of 10,833 Covid-19 patients who recovered today. This is expected to help reduce the number of active cases.
- Patients in ICU: 778
- Intubated: 331
As of today, the number of Covid-19 patients (including suspected ones) in the intensive care unit (ICU) is 9.8 percent lower compared to a week ago.
Those who require intubation have also declined by 27.7 percent from a week ago.

Over the past month, the Health Ministry's Covid-19 reporting has been pivoting away from daily press statements to its CovidNow website.
Clusters
To date, 794 Covid-19 clusters are still active, including nine new clusters reported today.
The ongoing clusters have fallen by 19.7 percent from the 989 active clusters a week ago.
The nine new clusters today comprised four community clusters (44.4 percent), two workplace clusters (22.2 percent), two high-risk group clusters (22.2 percent) and one education institution cluster (11.1 percent).
