Covid-19 (Oct 6): 9,380 new cases, 1,348 in Klang Valley

COVID-19 | The Health Ministry today reported 9,380 new Covid-19 cases, bringing the cumulative case count to 2,303,837.

New case count across the country has been generally trending down over the past two weeks.

Hospitalisation of Covid-19 patients has also been trending down nationwide with the exception of Sarawak.

• Patients in ICU: 851 (800 confirmed; 51 suspected)
• Intubated: 447 (348 confirmed; 99 probable)

As of today, the number of Covid-19 patients (including suspected ones) in the intensive care unit (ICU) is 13.0 percent lower compared to a week ago.

Those who require intubation have also declined by 20.9 percent from a week ago.

The Health Ministry is currently monitoring 932 active Covid-19 clusters.

Another 11 clusters were classified today, comprising five workplace clusters (45.5 percent), five community clusters (45.5 percent) and one high-risk group clusters (9.1 percent).
