Houses of Parliament Act amendments being reviewed - Rais

Amendments to the Houses of Parliament (Privileges and Powers) Act 1952 are being reviewed to allow the Houses to prohibit any member of Dewan Rakyat and Dewan Negara who are facing ongoing court charges from attending Parliament proceedings.

Dewan Negara president Rais Yatim said the matter was discussed in a special meeting on Parliament Transformation today with Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Parliament and Law) Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar that he chaired on behalf of Dewan Negara and Dewan Rakyat.
