Covid-19 (Sept 27): 10,959 new cases, S'gor dips below 1,000

COVID-19 | The Health Ministry today reported 10,959 new Covid-19 cases.

Selangor (979) reported new cases below 1,000 for the first time since May 4.

New cases in Selangor have been dropping since hitting a high of 8,792 on Aug 6.

The latest daily sampling figures are not regularly available on the Health Ministry's Github page.

As of yesterday, the R-naught for the country was 0.92. An R-naught of less than 1.00 suggests that the spread of Covid-19 was decelerating. It has been less than 1.00 since Sept 1.

The only state that has an R-naught of more than 1.00 is Pahang.

Today's active cases and reported deaths will only be released after midnight. For yesterday's figures, click here.
