Covid-19 (March 27) 1,199 new cases, S'gor has lowest cases since Dec 9
COVID-19 | The Health Ministry reported 1,199 new cases of Covid-19 today, and two deaths.
The Klang Valley accounted for 30.69 percent (368 cases) of new infections while East Malaysia made up 27.77 percent (333 cases) of the fresh infections.
New recoveries of 1,257 outpaced fresh cases, helping to reduce the number of active cases.

- Patients in ICUs: 167
- Intubated: 72
New cases by states
Selangor reported the lowest number of cases (283) in the state since Dec 9 (277).
Kelantan, meanwhile, reported triple digit case (138) for the first time since Feb 20. This in part due to a new cluster (Gong Kulim) which had 20 new cases today, as well as a rise in cases detected through other forms of screening.
Deaths
There were two fatalities today, bringing the death toll to 1,251.
The new deaths were recorded in Sabah (1) and Penang (1).
Those who died were aged 52 and 60.
