Covid-19 cases exceed 5k again and other news you may have missed

1. The Health Ministry reported a record high of 5,728 new cases of Covid-19, with 3,285 cases in Selangor alone.

2. Selangor blames the surge in cases to a backlog in reporting and plans to fine private clinics and hospitals who don't immediately report Covid-19 cases through the Public Health Lab Information System.

3. Forty-eight health workers at the Sultanah Nur Zahirah Hospital (HSNZ) in Kuala Terengganu tested positive for Covid-19.

4. The RM100 million allocated for private hospitals to combat Covid-19 is restricted to covering patients referred by public hospitals, said Association of Private Hospitals Malaysia (APHM)
