EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS

- SK Haji Hasan, Changkat Petai, Perak

Bernama reported today that the school has been ordered to close from tomorrow until Nov 3 after a Covid-19 case was detected there.


MEDICAL FACILITIES

- Avisena Women's & Children's Specialist Hospital, Shah Alam, Selangor

Avisena group said today that two of its staff members tested positive for Covid-19 yesterday. Both are management staff with very limited contact with customers, they said.


RESIDENCES

- Union Heights Condominium, Taman Yarl, Kuala Lumpur

The condominium's management committee issued a notice on Sunday that a resident at Block 7 tested positive for Covid-19 and was taken to the hospital.

It said Health Ministry personnel will be doing disinfection work, but the management will be doing another round of disinfection today as a precaution.

- Menara Pelangi Condominium, Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur

A tenant who works for Cardio Vascular Sentral Kuala Lumpur (CVSKL) hospital tested positive for Covid-19.

Four of the tenant's housemates have been tested and are under home quarantine.

Sanitisation works have been carried out.


GOVERNMENT BUILDINGS

- LHDN Labuan and Shah Alam

Two branches of the Inland Revenue Board (LHDN) in Labuan and Shah Alam are temporarily closed for sanitisation works, according to Astro Awani report this morning.

It quoted a notice issued by the agency, which said that the branches are closed from yesterday (Oct 26) until further notice.

The notice did not specify whether there were positive cases at the premises. However, previously, LHDN had ordered for the closure of its offices in Jalan Tuanku Abdul Halim after its staff was tested positive Covid-19.


BUSINESSES

- WRP Asia Pacific Sdn Bhd, Bandar Baru Salak Tinggi, Selangor

A worker tested positive on Oct 20, the glove company's president Leong Wai Leong told Malaysiakini.

He joined the company on Oct 13 and was screened on Oct 16, after close contact with a Covid-19 positive individual outside of work.

The worker does not stay in the dormitory, but due sanitisation has been done at the dormitory and other company facilities.

Other workers who had contact with him are quarantined and their names provided to the Health Ministry for screening.

- Nivetha Curry House, Taman Alam Jaya, Kajang, Selangor

An employee of the restaurant was arrested by police on Oct 16 for not wearing a face mask when working, according to sources.

The foreigner was taken into Kajang district police custody, and a swab test was only conducted on Oct 22 before the result came back positive on Oct 24.

Restaurant owner who identified himself as Mahendran, when contacted, told Malaysiakini that the worker was tested positive after being locked up and that tests on all others who work at the restaurant have returned negative.

He said the restaurant is temporarily closed as all workers are advised to self-quarantine for 14 days.

- Royal Selangor Golf Club, Jalan Tun Razak, Kuala Lumpur

A member has tested positive for Covid-19 yesterday, the club said in a notice to members.

The club is closed starting Oct 26, pending more details from the authorities.

- TPC Kuala Lumpur Golf Club, Bukit Kiara, Kuala Lumpur

A member who visited the club yesterday has tested positive for Covid-19, it said in a notice on its Facebook page.

The club is closed temporarily starting today until further notice, for sanitation and disinfection.

- UOA Business Park, Shah Alam, Selangor

An employee at Tower 1 has tested positive, the building management said in a notice today.

Sanitisation of common areas was completed at 9.55am, while a licensed cleaning company has been engaged to conduct further disinfection.

On Oct 12, the management had reported a Covid-19 case at Tower 7.

- TGI Fridays, Queensbay Mall, Penang

A customer who visited this outlet on Oct 23 tested positive for Covid-19, the restaurant chain said.

As a precaution, the outlet closed immediately for disinfection while all team members were told to self-quarantine and to get tested.

- Suria Sabah Shopping Mall, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah

The mall's management said in a statement that an employee at a Daiso outlet in the mall tested positive for Covid-19.

The outlet was closed at 10am today for deep cleaning.
