Below are verified locations which are reported to be affected today.
However, the list does not include locations which have been closed temporarily pending results of swab tests on persons under investigation.
These locations have also been duly sanitised.

Shopping Malls and Public Access Facilities
- Taman Arnab Abadi, Kuching
Yesterday, the Health Ministry revealed that a new cluster has been detected in Kuching, Sarawak, which has so far involved four individuals positive with Covid-19. The cluster was named Bah Arnab, with its index case traced to an individual who tested positive upon returning from Sabah on Oct 7.
Malaysiakini has contacted the management of a rabbit museum in Kampung Malaysia Jaya there and confirmed that the cluster is related to the park.
However, according to the spokesperson, the park has not been opened to the public since March when the government first imposed the movement control order (MCO).
- Nando's Palm Mall Seremban
A staff member tested positive today. He was last at the Palm Mall branch on Oct 5, the restaurant chain said in a statement today.
The staff member is believed to be part of the Bah Sintok cluster, mostly involving university students, and traced to a student who travelled from Sabah.
Schools
- SK Bukit Kuda, Klang
The school informed parents that students of a Year 2 class and their guardians must quarantine for 14 days starting Oct 9 because a student has tested positive.
The school also said the Ministry of Health will contact affected parents.
-Sekolah Rendah Agama Bukit Kuda, Klang
A student here has tested positive, according to a village official.
The official told Malaysiakini the student is from a family of four, who lives in the local Kampung Kuantan, Klang, area.
- SMK King Edward VII, Taiping
It is learned that the school has been affected by a new cluster announced by the Health Ministry on Tuesday, namely the Batu cluster that involves family members of the staff of a detention camp in Taiping.
When contacted by Malaysiakini, the school could neither deny nor confirm if a student has been tested positive Covid-19 and said that only the Health Ministry can issue such a statement. However, the school confirmed that sanitisation works have been carried out.
- SMK Johor Jaya 1
An office staff member at SMK Johor Jaya 1 tested positive today, China Press reported.
Seven close contacts at the office have been told to quarantine, it reported. The Johor Health Department confirmed the case.
- SK Presint 8(1), Putrajaya, and SK Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur
The Education Ministry said both schools have been ordered by the respective district health offices to be closed from today until Oct 16, after Covid-19 cases were detected.
The decision affects 2,978 primary school students and 211 teachers and staff, and would allow for cleaning, sanitisation, and contact tracing to take place.
In a separate statement, Putrajaya Corporation said SK Presint 8(1) has been sanitised this evening.
- Sri Kuala Lumpur, Subang Jaya
The private school said an elder sibling of two of its students tested positive for Covid-19.
As such, the school will be closed for "deep cleaning" of the premises over the weekend and extra-curricular activities for the weekend are cancelled.
Further action will be taken depending on whether the two students also test positive.
Residences
- Abadi Indah Apartment
Two residents living in Block 55 have tested positive for Covid-19, the management said in a notice to residents today.
- Mentari Court
A resident has tested positive on Oct 5, the management said in a notice to residents.
However, it urged residents not to panic as the individual did not contract the virus at Mentari Court.
- Pangsapuri Bukit Kuda, Klang
According to residents, a student of SK Bukit Kuda who tested positive lives at this complex. The residential complex is located about 650 metres from the school.
Non-residents are now not allowed to enter the complex.
Clinics
- Klinik Menara, Bukit Jelutong
The management of Klinik Menara Bukit Jelutong has issued a notice saying that they are temporarily closed after a patient, who came to do Covid-19 test about 8.30am on Oct 6, has been confirmed positive last night (Oct 8).
According to the notice and management staff at Klinik Menara headquarters, sanitisation works have been carried out at the premises, while all doctors and staff have undergone screening for the virus following the incident.
Those who came as close contacts of the patient are also under self-quarantine.
Government facilities
- Kuching Royal Malaysian Air Force Airport & Kuching Police Training Centre
Three members of security forces who were on duty in Sabah for the state election last month had returned to Sarawak on Sept 28, where they landed at Kuching TUDM Airport.
They were tested for Covid-19 and placed under 14-day quarantine at the Kuching Police Training Centre. A second swab test on Oct 7 returned positive the next day.
Public transport
- Kuching International Airport
A security guard tested positive after contact with someone who later tested positive, the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee said.
The guard with no recent travel history had contact with the patient on Oct 2 at the airport.
Places of worship
- Sultan Abdul Aziz Airport Mosque, Subang, Selangor
The Selangor Islamic Religious Department said a worshipper who attended Friday prayers at the mosque on Oct 2 has tested positive for Covid-19.
Attendance records showed that 1,310 worshipers were present that day. They are urged to approach the nearest health clinic immediately if they show symptoms, or quarantine themselves at home.
