US committed to stronger defence ties with Malaysia

The US strongly values its long and established partnership with Malaysia in the security and defence sector, said US Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defence for South and Southeast Asia Reed B Werner.

He said the relationship is longstanding and the US is looking forward to further deepening the ties – particularly in the area of maritime security.
