So, Riza did receive US$248 million pursuant to stepdaddy's admission.

The moral of the story is this: Don't get caught. If you do get caught, make sure you have invested your allegedly stolen goods. You get to keep the fruit of your investments and return the base assets. All free.

AntiRacial: According to Najib Abdul Razak, who is Riza Aziz's stepfather, Dr Mahathir Mohamad's analogy was not correct.

"This is not a case of stealing 11 chickens and returning one as claimed by PM7 (Mahathir). This is a case of receiving 11 chickens and returning 13," he said.

Najib claimed that Riza would eventually have to return US$40 million more than the US$248 million received for his film projects.

There you are. Najib has apparently admitted that Riza has taken the money. How much Riza Aziz is returning is secondary here.

LetRakyatDecide: Where did the 13 chickens come from? One or 10 or 13 or 100 chickens are all still stolen chickens unless you can show us your income tax return on your source of income.

Bobby0: The money trail proved beyond a reasonable doubt that Riza’s monies came from 1MDB.

The second proof stands more clearly as film production company Red Granite decided to pay the US$60 million instead of fighting with the authorities to prove the real source of the monies.

So maybe there are fools that can be fooled by all these fairy tale stories. But the whole world knows the truth. Let us not compare apples with oranges.

Tencent: If you are not guilty, why would you pay US$60 million to US Department of Justice (DOJ) to settle the case?

If you are innocent, you would fight tooth and nail to prove it. Instead, you did the reverse and this implied that you are not so clean after all.

One: Mahathir gives a simple analogy so that ordinary people can understand. Najib is spinning and introducing the jargon “sender” so that people cannot understand the issue.

The simple question is when you allegedly steal so much money, how can you justify not going to jail, unlike ordinary people who are just trying to feed their kids?

Is this justice? Please answer this simple question.

Shibboleth: Let’s not forget Najib's call to the Arab prince (United Arab Emirates crown prince Mohammed Zayed Al Nahyan) begging him to do a loan agreement to cover Riza's financial shenanigan.

He may not be guilty as charged under the law, but guilty in the eyes of the public.

OrangePanther1466: Najib, you and all of us know that the charges against DAP leader Lim Guan Eng are trumped-up and politically motivated, prosecuted by your favoured attorney-general, Mohamed Apandi Ali.

In the case of Riza, you have just admitted that Riza indeed took millions and claimed in the plea bargain that he had to pay US$40 million more.

So you have just confirmed that if you allegedly steal money, you can buy your way out without prosecution. What logic is this? And you have the gall to accuse Pakatan Harapan of ignoring the rule of law.

Apollos: Indeed, why bother to return 13 chickens if the 11 chickens were a loan? If not guilty, why return any? The amount returned is not chicken feed, you know. It is US$107 million!

Winter As Come: Former finance minister Lim’s bungalow case is an albatross around his neck as well as DAP’s.

Umno has cleverly created something out of nothing and now it becomes the reference point in all arguments whenever any Umno thieves are freed.

I am sure Lim would have regretted in purchasing the bungalow below cost as the savings of RM2 million is not worth the agony from the persistent attacks from Umno.

He becomes a sitting duck, not that he is corrupted but more because of the lack of political acumen. Former Selangor menteri besar Khir Toyo’s case laid bare for him to see and yet he did not learn from it.

Though the two cases are not quite similar, Umno knows how to turn it into a golden bullet to be used whenever it suits them.

You are comparing a durian (musang king) against a rambutan. Besides, Lim had signed the sales and purchase (S&P) agreement earlier to lock in the market price while continuing to pay rent.

Dr Suresh Kumar: If it is not for the selfish and racist nature of the PM4/PM7, PM5 would not have allowed his son-in-law to interfere on the fourth floor while he slumbered away.

PM6 would not have turned into a global kleptocrat, PM8 would not have entered through the backdoor.

The culprit, PM4/PM7, who destroyed the social fabric of our nation, who destroyed race relation, was given unrestricted freedom by other Harapan component parties to drive a wedge between PKR and DAP, between Anwar Ibrahim and Azmin Ali, and destroy Harapan eventually.

Not satisfied, PM4/PM7 wants to be back in power again as PM9 to make sure his son becomes the PM10 and continue his dynasty to maintain nepotism, cronyism and proxies.

Wira: The only honest and upright PM ever in this country was ‘Bapa Malaysia’ Tunku Abdul Rahman.

Parliament needed to grant him a special gratuity of RM200,000 after he quit as PM for him to live in retirement.
