Yusof Ismail is new Mampu DG

Yusof Ismail has been appointed as the new director-general of the Malaysian Administrative Modernisation and Management Planning Unit (Mampu), effective today.

The appointment was announced by Chief Secretary to the Government Mohd Zuki Ali in a statement today.

Yusof (photo), 58, began his career in the civil service 32 years ago as an assistant secretary at the economic division, Ministry of Finance and was eventually appointed as the ministry’s strategic investment division secretary.

He had also served as Mampu deputy director-general (transformation and modernisation of management).

Mohd Zuki said Yusof has vast experience in various fields including finance, economy and strategic investment.

“With his appointment, I hope the efficiency and effectiveness of Mampu will be empowered to facilitate the government’s digital transformation towards people-centric service delivery,” he said.

Yusof replaces Mazlan Yusoff who has been appointed as the secretary-general of the Ministry of Higher Education effective March 23. - Bernama
