Covid-19: Festival Duduk Rumah fundraiser kicks off at 8.30 tonight
CORONAVIRUS | A range of talented and concerned Malaysians have come together to provide some entertainment in order to help Malaysian frontliners in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.
Calling the project Festival Duduk Rumah, the festival will be broadcast over Facebook Live and features a diverse line-up of performers.
This includes a traditional sape performance by Rining Peter Paris, folk rock by Azmyl Yunor, a Temuan Art Noise Performance by Shaq Koyok (pic above), comedy by Juliana Heng and Phoon Chi Ho and a number of other musical performers including Mill (Hanna Mia), Issac Ho, William Kok, Raman Bah Tuin and Justin Ong.
Festival organiser Adrian Yeo said the concert would be available on the Facebook Page from 8.30-10.30pm tonight.
"This fundraising is to support our frontliners - healthcare professionals, security personnel and support staff, who are battling the pandemic. All donations made will be channelled to two beneficiaries, namely #Meals4Medics and Mercy Malaysia."
The proceeds will be used to provide hot meals for hospitals outside of Kuala Lumpur, purchase and send vital medical equipment such as masks and
ventilators and provide funds to assist in protecting vulnerable communities.
