No visits allowed to prisons during movement control order
CORONAVIRUS | Visits by family members of inmates to all prisons have been postponed following the implementation of the movement control order.
The Malaysian Prisons Department in a statement today said no visits are allowed throughout the order period from today until March 31.
This includes the Bandar Hilir Prison Museum in Melaka, and programmes and visits by lawyers, police, embassies and non-governmental organisations.
The action is to prevent the spread of Covid-19 in prisons, it said.
