Commotion in Dewan Rakyat about politicians entering schools and campuses
PARLIAMENT | A commotion erupted in Dewan Rakyat after Deputy Education Minister Teo Nie Ching spoke about permission for opposition politicians to enter schools and campuses.
This prompted Dewan Rakyat speaker Mohamad Ariff Md Yusof to remind the parliamentarians that they should not debate during the question-and-answer session.
"This is a question-and-answer session, not a debate (session). We want to listen to the question-and-answer," he said after Teo answered an additional question from Mohd Shahar Abdullah (BN-Paya Besar).
Teo denied that the government barred opposition politicians from entering schools, adding that politicians from both side of the divide have to apply before they are allowed to enter schools to attend programmes...
