T'ganu Amanah goads PAS to accept Umno into cabinet
Terengganu Amanah has challenged PAS to accept at least two Umno members into the state cabinet to prove their sincerity.
In a statement today, Terengganu Amanah leader Raja Kamarul Bahrin Shah Raja Ahmad (above) said this was appropriate following Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi's apology to PAS yesterday.
At a PAS-Umno rally in Kuala Terengganu last night, Zahid said Umno apologised "from the tip of our hair to our toes" for their past transgressions against PAS.
Zahid also mooted Kijal assemblyperson Ahmad Said and Sebarang Takir assemblyperson Ahmad Razif Abd Rahman - both former menteri besar - as possible candidates for the Terengganu cabinet.
PAS wrested Terengganu from BN last year. If Umno joins PAS as the government, there will be no opposition in Terengganu.
Raja Kamarul Bahrin said unlike PAS, Pakatan Harapan allowed even minority parties to lead a state.
"If Harapan has proven its cooperation and mutual trust by doing so, why can't PAS appoint two Umno members in the Terengganu cabinet?
"They should prove their sincerity to the public," he said, adding that Umno had wholeheartedly apologised to PAS.
