Abductors of Indonesian fishermen haven't contacted families - police
The armed abductors of the three Indonesian fishermen have yet to contact the authorities or anyone else since the incident on Monday, said Sabah Police Commissioner Omar Mammah.
“No calls were received (from the abductors as yet),” he said when contacted by Bernama in Kota Kinabalu today.
In the 11.50 am incident, the three fishermen - Maharudin Lunani, 48, Muhammad Farhan, 27, and Samiun Maneu, 27, were reportedly abducted by a group of armed masked men while fishing in the waters off Tambisan in Lahad Datu.
It is believed they have been taken to Tawi-Tawi in the southern Philippines.
