Assault case: Cops still can't locate Anwar's aide, tells him to surrender
Perak PKR chief Farhash Wafa Salvador (photo, above) has yet to come forward over an assault case and his whereabouts are still not known, according to Selangor CID chief Fadzil Ahmat.
"The main suspect Farhash still could not be located, and he is instructed to come forward to facilitate investigations," he said in a statement today.
Fadzil said to date, police have arrested five men aged between 22 and 38.
"All suspects were remanded to assist investigations.
"Four suspects have been released today on police bail while another has been handed over to the Cheras district police headquarters as he is wanted in relation to a drug case," he said.
Anwar had on Thursday advised Farhash, who is his political aide, to meet with the police over the case.
He said this was despite the complainant having withdrawn the police report against him.
The complainant had accused Farhash and his friends of attacking him outside the Arena All Stars sports complex in Ampang on the night of Aug 31
In the incident, the complainant claimed to have been attacked by a group armed with helmets, knives, and chairs, despite his three companions’ attempts to stop the assailants.
He reportedly suffered tears in his waist, injuries throughout his body, and pain in his genital area.
Fadzil confirmed the withdrawal of the police report but is still seeking for Farhash to cooperate in the investigation.
He added that the case will be referred to the public prosecutor.
