Lynas M'sia achieves one year 'lost-time injury free'
Lynas Malaysia Sdn Bhd has achieved a one year "lost-time injury free" as of today.
Lost-time injury is an injury that results in time lost from work of one day or shift, or more.
In a statement today, the rare earths mining company said it had implemented world-class safety and health standards at its plant in Gebeng, Kuantan.
Managing director and vice-president Mashal Ahmad (photo, above) said all of the company's staff and contractors were safety conscious and followed the Lynas safety and health policy and procedures.
Lynas Malaysia was recently awarded a gold medal in the latest EcoVadis corporate social responsibility assessment based on its performance across the environment, labour and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement.
It also became a signatory to the United Nations Global Compact, the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative, earlier this year.
