MACC nabs former Malacca exco and clerk on graft charges
The MACC has arrested a former Malacca state executive councillor and a clerk in connection with graft charges today.
The duo has been released on MACC bail, but are required to be present at the Ayer Keroh Sessions Court to face charges tomorrow morning, confirmed MACC chief Latheefa Koya in a statement today.
The former state Exco is believed to still be serving as a state assemblyperson.
The case reportedly involves the deviation of funds for the Strategic Linkage Initiative under the National Blue Ocean Strategy programme for Malacca, and dates back to 2016.
