You know where to find me - TMJ to Dr M

Johor crown prince Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim has challenged the government to take action against him, following Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s statement that the crown prince is not above the law.

“Please. If I have to go down for upholding the constitution, the Malay Rulers, and Islam, by all means. You know where to find me.

“Just like ordinary citizens, I have the right to question and to give opinions. I’m all yours. Finish what you start,” he said through his Twitter account today.

He was responding to media reports on Mahathir’s remarks earlier today.

Responding to media queries, Mahathir had told reporters that the government considers the crown prince an ordinary citizen.

Hence, the premier said, Tunku Ismail is free to criticise the government as long as he does not break the law. He warned that action could be taken against Tunku Ismail if the crown prince makes seditious remarks.

The comments came amid strained relations between Putrajaya and the Johor Palace, which recently locked horns over the ratification of the Rome Statute.
