Charges against Papagomo too harsh, says Lip Eng
Kepong MP Lim Lip Eng has called for the attorney-general Tommy Thomas to reconsider the charges against blogger Papagomo who was hauled to court over alleged insults and assault of a minister.
The blogger Papagomo, whose real name is Wan Muhammad Azri Wan Deris, was slapped with two charges yesterday - one for intending to insult the modesty of the Youth and Sports Minister Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman by saying to him “ko bodoh" (you are stupid), and the other for voluntarily causing hurt to the minister.
