LETTER | Embark on genuine people-friendly engagements post-state elections

LETTER | As an ordinary citizen deeply invested in the progress and stability of our beloved nation, Perikatan Nasional must not stop making proactive and meaningful steps and efforts to assist the rakyat after the recently-concluded state elections.

It is my sincere belief that the time has come for PAS, Bersatu and Gerakan which make up the coalition, along with other key stakeholders and political leaders of this nation, to embark on the path of regular and purposeful engagement.

One that transcends opportunism and temporary alliances.

The notion of unity should not be confined to mere political expedience; instead, it should reflect the essence of our civilisation and culture.

We can build a more robust and cohesive society based on principles and values by fostering organic and civilisational unity.

This unity should not be a mere façade but a collective effort to address the needs and aspirations of all people, regardless of their background.

In this spirit, PN must not stop initiating and sustaining regular sessions between PAS, Bersatu, Gerakan, and other interested parties to create a platform for open dialogue, collaboration, and shared vision.

Such consistent and meaningful interactions can pave the way for a true leadership foundation, founded on trust, understanding and a genuine commitment to the well-being of our nation.

A thriving Malaysia

Equally important is the role of our esteemed Malay Rulers in this process.

They should be well-informed about the desires and preferences of the Malays when it comes to leadership.

By fostering a transparent and inclusive approach, we can ensure that our rulers know the Malays' genuine choices, enhancing the democratic process.

It is my hope that through this collaborative effort, we can move beyond the short-term gains of opportunistic alliances, and instead build a Malaysia that thrives on unity and shared purpose.

Our nation deserves leaders who are attuned to the needs of the people and who prioritise the greater good over personal gain.

Let us seize this opportunity to create a legacy of strong, visionary leadership that resonates with the heart and soul of our nation.

Together, we can forge a path towards a more united and prosperous Malaysia.
