LETTER | Did Muhyiddin lie to all Malaysians?
LETTER | Bersatu president Muhyiddin Yassin is under the nation's spotlight. And for the worst reason!
According to him, the Yang di-Pertuan Agong has given him instructions to form a coalition to become the new government.
But going by press reports and various explanations by professionals and those familiar with the palace protocols, Muhyiddin's claim cannot be true.
If it is true, it then jeopardises our revered constitutional monarchy system.
Malaysians who hold the palace in high esteem and patriotic citizens who will defend the King against any attempt to demean the palace are demanding to know the truth.
While the nation is right now, at the time of my penning this letter, gripped with a political crisis, this claim by Muhyiddin cannot be laid to rest.
If it is found that the palace did not break with protocol and did not send such instructions to him then Muhyiddin must be brought to book.
And all those political parties who vowed to stand by him must publicly register their utter disgust or suffer the fate of plotting against the nation.
I hope all media will address this very serious issue in respect of protecting the good name of our King and the constitutional monarchy.
It is far too serious to downplay it.
