LETTER | What else is going wrong with CITF?
LETTER | The Covid-19 Immunisation Task Force (CITF) is certainly wading through several credibility crises.
First, it was some exposes by citizens being given blank shot vaccinations.
This forced the controversy courting the health minister to respond by assuring those who got blank shots can come back for the complete dose.
Next, there were also claims by the public that the vaccination appointment system was open to abuse and allegations of sale of vaccines and vaccination appointments by shadowy personnel surfaced.
Then there surfaced concerns about posters spelling out a strict dress code for those appearing for vaccination.
And now we hear that face shields are forcibly being sold at one or two mega vaccine centres.
Why must CITF be inundated with endless suspicious ethical and morally corrupt or questionable allegations that certainly will weaken public confidence in the national vaccination drive?
What is so difficult to have a spotless delivery of the nationwide vaccination programme?
Are there any deep-seated corrupt dispositions also weaving their way through such an important health exercise?
We can't help asking as we were recently shocked by a former top cop's admission that cartels are having a grip on even law enforcers.
Over to our vaccine minister and the health minister for straight, honest, intelligent answers.
Surely we do not want to be even more shocked with other future allegations with video and audio evidence from citizens.
