Built Environment 4.0: Moving towards Diversity, Inclusivity & Sustainability

While we have been making huge strides in the country to narrow the gender gap, women are still underrepresented in male dominated professions.

Built environment professions, comprising architecture, design, and construction, must be equitable, diverse, and inclusive so that they can contribute to our communities meaningfully.

As part of Heriot-Watt University Malaysia’s efforts to widen access for women, the webinar aims to celebrate visionary women leaders who are actively impacting these professions and the communities they serve; and to address the barriers women face today in these professions towards improving the built environment industry for the better for all.

Let’s listen to this discussion with our host Premesh Chandran, Co-Founder of Malaysiakini and guests panelists:

  1. Professor Ir. Dr. Satesh Namasivayam, Associate Head, School of Energy, Geoscience, Infrastructure and Society of Heriot-Watt University Malaysia

  2. Architect (Dr) Serina Hijjas, Leading Women Architect in Malaysia, and Honorary Graduate of Heriot-Watt University Malaysia

  3. Komalah Selva, Alumni of Heriot-Watt University Malaysia
