MP SPEAKS | There are too many quotable quotes on lies. One of them reads, "you can't constantly lie and expect people to trust you".

Former prime minister Najib Abdul Razak's recent shocking statement in Parliament only reflects his utter unremorsefulness.

He was reported to have said that the payment of the 1MDB's colossal debt does not involve taxpayers' money. Whose money then, Mr Najib?

Many economists easily dismiss his absurd claim. Damansara MP Tony Pua has filed a motion in Parliament under Order 36 ( 12 ) of the Standing Orders in order to refer Najib to the Committee of Privileges.

Najib is accused of misleading the august house. Whether the speaker is going to allow or dismiss the motion remains to be seen.
