KOPETRO supports IJN Ride 4 Your Heart

KUALA LUMPUR, 19 May 2023 - Koperasi Kakitangan PETRONAS Berhad (KOPETRO) through their subsidiary, KOPETRO Travel has become one of the sponsors for the lnstitut Jantung Negara’s (IJN) Ride 4 Your Heart which will be held in Kuala Nerus, Terengganu later this month. IJN Ride 4 Your Heart, one of Malaysia’s leading mass-cycling meets, returns for its third edition on 27 May 2023.

First hosted in 2016, IJN Ride 4 Your Heart aims to promote healthy living among the wider public through cycling. Open to all cyclists regardless of age, fitness levels, and experience, the biennial event aims to motivate both seasoned and novice cyclists to keep up with their fitness goals.

Chief Operating Officer of KOPETRO Travel & Leisure Division, Hasnoal Idris says, sports tourism is a growing industry where KOPETRO Travel have started venturing in. It increases exposure and promotes a favourable image of the local community and the organisation. This way KOPETRO Travel are able to promote their exciting travel packages going to breathtaking destinations such as the middle east, southeast asia and not to forget, our very own Malaysia. This will further encourage both traveling and a healthy lifestyle. ‘Jom Cuti Sakan’, a campaign made by KOPETRO Travel to encourage customers to branch out to destinations outside of Malaysia, such as London, Edinburgh, Paris, Iceland.

The growth of sports tourism contributes to the creation of a sense of community.” said Hasnoal during the official press conference which was held on 15 May 2023 at IJN College Foyer, Institut Jantung Negara (IJN), Kuala Lumpur.

Officials and delegates of IJN Ride 4 Your Heart will be transported from Insititut Jantung Negara (IJN) to Hospital Pengajar Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA), Kuala Nerus, Terengganu using two 40-seater buses from KOPETRO Travel.
