KOPETRO launches proLindung online road tax and vehicle takaful platform

KUALA LUMPUR, 12 May 2023 – Koperasi Kakitangan PETRONAS Berhad (KOPETRO) has launched an online platform known as proLindung, which enables users to easily renew their vehicle’s road tax and takaful.

Chairman of KOPETRO, Roslan Abdul Rahim says, this platform is one of their initiatives to further improve privileges and benefits for members of Koperasi Kakitangan PETRONAS Berhad (KOPETRO) and the general public who are using their services.

“In this rapidly growing digital age, proLindung will play a vital role in making the renewal of one’s vehicle road tax and takaful much more convenient and efficient. This platform has been specially designed to promote ease of use with just a few clicks,” he said during the launching which was held in conjunction with Majlis Aidilfitri ‘Raya Bersama’ KOPETRO.

In addition, Roslan stated that proLindung was created while taking into account the needs and wants of all our users. He also urges all to try proLindung and give feedback to further improve user experience. Moreover, proLindung aspires to bring comprehensive protection to all users, and this is embodied in the name of the platform.

Apart from overall protection, KOPETRO members can choose to complete payments via installments through monthly salary deductions. In conjunction with the launch of proLindung yesterday, KOPETRO is offering a discount of RM50 for the first 50 customers that renew their vehicle tax and insurance through the online platform proLindung.

Also present at the launch ceremony were representatives from the Malaysia Co-operative Societies Commission of Malaysia (SKM) and the Malaysian National Co-operative Movement (Angkasa), members of the co-operative Board, representatives, members of the Internal Audit Committee and KOPETRO management.

This Aidilfitri celebration organised by KOPETRO started at 12 noon till 5 in the evening, attended by more than 2,000 guests which consisted of members, employees and business partners of the co-operative. Guests are treated to a variety of Raya Aidilfitri dishes and local menus such as Lemang, Nasi Impit, Rendang Ayam, Lontong, Laksa Utara, Nasi Hujan Panas with Ayam Masak Merah, Apam Balik and Cendol.
