Moms make a come back with Christmas Bazaar

BARELY five years old in the business development platform, CARING MOMS (CM) has already reached 52,000 members, lifting women from all walks of life to be financially independent. CARING MOMS was born as a brainchild of Major (retired) Shera Ann Bosco and Mr. Umesh Narasimhaiah to connect working mothers with stay-at-home mothers. It has grown many folds from the initial days and CM has been chosen to be part of the GAP Cohort 02 by MaGIC and Facebook Startup program under the Social Good category.

CARING MOMS, the well-known “mompreneur” social enterprise is organising Magical Christmas Bazaar 2021 at Sunway Nexis (Kota Damansara) from the 18th to 19th December 2021. Major [Retired] Shera Ann Bosco explained that the aim of the carnival is to show how empowering mothers of all ages and ethnicities to stay healthy physically, mentally and financially will lead to a family’s well-being.

Homemade items, giveaways, fun games and lucky draws are some of the activities that visitors can look forward to at the event. With strict accordance to the SOP, the Bazaar will not cease to entertain while instilling valuable lessons on entrepreneurship.

“CM is a unique platform that has connected mothers and single women alike to a network of individuals and corporations, providing them access to a wide range of opportunities, skills, and guidance,” said CM co-founder & CEO Shera Ann Bosco. Through formal courses and classes, peer-to-peer learning as well as less formal learn-by-doing methods, the platform facilitates a variety of entrepreneurship skill-building opportunities including food handling, accounting (pricing products), marketing, packaging and presentation with an unwavering goal of empowering women with confidence. CM also goes a step further to create exposure and marketing opportunities through social media, influencer marketing, physical events and online engagement.

“We strive to provide a safe environment for women to transact, learn, interact, and gain support to start-up and mature their businesses,” said CM co-founder & MD Umesh Narasimhaiah.

Through this Christmas bazaar, many mothers have been given the opportunity to not only stay healthy but to become financially independent through their own bazaar sales.

With some mothers being on the brink of despair, the CARING MOMS platform has enabled an avenue of hope that has emotionally and financially uplifted their families. Creating a “job for every mom”, CARING MOMS is on a mission to empower and mobilise women through sustainable socio-economic programs and creating opportunities towards building a business of their own— and this Christmas Bazaar is just one of those ways. “My confidence was boosted here. My first bazaar, CM bazaar has taught me a great deal on how I should present my products,” said Revathy, seller on CM platform.
